Other: Position: Technical Director Description: The East Hants Soccer Club is a growing club in Lantz, NS that offers a variety of soccer programs to people of all ages (3 – Adult). Currently, our programs include mini, house, rep and co-ed adult that run year-round. The Club also runs soccer camps, fitness and skills sessions. We have 25 hours of scheduled time per week with a possibility of more, registration dependent. East Hants is one of the fastest growing communities in Atlantic Canada, minutes from the Halifax Stanfield Airport and 30 mins from downtown Halifax. East Hants remains family friendly, affordable and with good amenities. East Hants is also home to the largest indoor soccer dome in Atlantic Canada, ideal for our growing soccer program. Job duties: • Reporting to the President and Board of the East Hants Soccer Club, you will be responsible for training all players, coaches and technical staff • Become a member of various regional committees in a technical advisory role • Develop and manage the technical portfolio of EHSC, develop and manage teams, their coaches and training players for league play • Assist in growing the player base both at all levels (mini, house, rep, etc…) • Experience and organizational abilities to which you will coordinate and implement skill development clinics and programs for players of all ages and genders, for EHSC coaches and technical staff • Liaise with the Provincial and National soccer organizations to promote the Club and grow the sport • Communicate well with children and adults alike • Strong code of ethics • Other duties as assigned by the EHSC Board East Hants Soccer Club Room 203, East Hants Sportsplex 1076 Hwy 2, Lantz Nova Scotia B2S 1M8 Term of Employment: Permanent Part-Time Salary: Commensurate with experience Location of Work: East Hants Sportsplex and surrounding area (limited travel – typically with in East Hants and Halifax region, but may require occasional out-of-province travel) Skills: • 10+ years’ experience with a proven record of success in a sports (soccer) organization, international experience considered • National B licence, or UEFA equivalent license is an asset, but not required, however completion of the B License Part 1 (Provincial Course) is preferred • Proven knowledge of “Periodization Methodologies” as they relate to Life Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and specific expert knowledge of youth development and implementation plans • Professional playing experience is an asset, but not required • Well-developed relationship building, negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and report writing, with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders • Strong knowledge of club organization and the national soccer landscape Time Frame: Immediate Contact information: Rob Thomas, EHSC President [email protected]
