Dave’s Service Centre is a well-established automotive centre located in Debert.  A full-service repair shop serving customers for 30+ years offering MVI, local and long-distance towing, a full suite of mechanical repairs and custom pipe bending.

We are currently accepting applications for an Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic.  We welcome 1st year Apprentices and red seal mechanics to apply!  We offer a competitive starting wage based on work experience and skillset, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, and supply all tools and equipment.

As a Technician / Mechanic, you will be entrusted to diagnose and repair a full range of issues on all vehicles including those of the electrical systems, transmission, engine, suspension, braking system and emissions.  You will be expected to use shop equipment and diagnostic equipment with confidence and in accordance to all safety procedures.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • At minimum, 1st year apprentice
  • Possess a valid Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated competence using various hand tools and precision measurement instruments
  • Knowledge and commitment to safety and environmental standards for maintenance / repair facilities and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Work well under pressure with a positive attitude and team mindset
  • Reliable and ability to work productively with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and sound problem-solving abilities
Salary Range: Competitive; negiotiable dependant on experience
