The Truro and Colchester Partnership for Economic Prosperity is seeking a confident, energetic, team-oriented and personable professional to join our team as an Economic Development Assistant. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide support to various economic development initiatives, such as event coordination and management, support marketing initiatives which promote the community of Truro Colchester, and assist in updating and maintaining the TCPEPs online presence and social media. You will be trusted to aid our efforts to promote the region as an excellent place to live, work and do business, support business development and workforce development.
This is a part-time, contract position with the potential of renewal. The successful candidate will be offered $17.00 – $22.00 per hour in commensuration with skills and experience demonstrated.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of two years post-secondary education in Business Administration, or a related discipline, with a minimum of two years related experience (a combination of education and work-related experience may be considered).
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Experience with marketing/sales and social media would be an asset
- Excellent communication and project management skills, including written, oral and editing, and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with personal discretion and integrity.
