Seasonal Fuel Delivery Driver

G&G Home Heating – Truro, NS

We are looking for a safety focused individual to work with our team to deliver product safely and efficiently to our valued commercial and residential customers. The successful candidate must be a team player and be able to work respectfully with our dispatch team and adhere to all DOT regulations and procedures, while paying close attention to detail and having excellent customer service skills.


Other Requirements :

Candidate must also be able to:

  • Drive delivery truck safely and responsibly while following all DOT regulations & procedures.
  • Load and unload truck with product safely, while following all safety procedures at site.
  • Work respectfully with dispatch in delivering product.
  • Plan daily route and have knowledge of geography, streets, zones etc.
  • Complete daily shift reports, as well as pre and post trip inspections and any other required paperwork.
  • Work the occasional overtime when required

Education and Experience:

  • Active 3 Driver's License, Air Brakes required
  • Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience with clean driving   abstract
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • WHMIS & TDG Certification
  • Good organization, communication and basic math skills are a must.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills required.
  • Must be physically able
  • Strong focus to safety required.
  • Previous experience with liquid loads an asset.
  • Must be able to work well with others.
  • Experience driving in inclement weather an asset.
