At Halliday’s Bookkeeping we offer our clients a range of services including data-entry, payroll, tax preparation and full-cycle accounting.  We are looking for someone to join our team in the role of Junior Bookkeeper.

Responsibilities:

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process – general ledger maintenance
  • Bank and credit card reconciliation
  • Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Payroll processing
  • Office Administration (Answering the phone and scheduling appointments)
  • Other duties as requested
Other Requirements :
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 3 – 5+ years’ experience in a day-to-day bookkeeping position
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office and Sage 50
  • Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset but not necessary
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Customer service orientation
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with tax preparation would be considered a strong asset
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines
