Masstown Butchery and Creamery are new retail ventures and subsidiaries of Masstown Market. Capitalizing on experiential dining and agri-tourism are key principles guiding the direction of our new state of the art dairy processing facility, co located with a full-service butchery. The bottling of freshly pasteurized milk, fresh churned butter and made on site cheese, are a great compliment to a full-service tip to tail butcher shop, featuring fresh cuts, smoked, fermented and dry aged offerings.

We are seeking the right individuals that bring a creative and engaging flair to our customers. The desire and ability to fill our ready to eat hot and cold cases with a variety of inspired dishes, quality fresh cuts made to order, or to conduct demonstrations live in our main hall will be the focus of this position.

We believe the creation of new local tastes should be fun and delicious, involving our staff, customers and a complete cross section of the local products we have available.

Qualifications include experience or willingness to learn:

  • rendering quarters into a variety of cuts
  • wrapping/presentation/packaging
  • customer service and relations skills
  • operation and maintenance of meat cutting equipment
  • food safety is of paramount importance
  • knowledge of sausage stuffer; grinder; tumbler; saws and wrappers is an asset
  • culinary or chef/cooking experience or training is an asset

These positions can be either full time or part time.  Compensation will be determined based on experience and skills attributed.
