Family owned and operated, we at Grumpy Appliance Repair have an immediate need for a Repair Person / Delivery Driver for our busy shop located in Truro, serving central and northern Nova Scotia.

As a Repair Person, you are a key member of our service team responsible for providing quality and efficient customer service, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing appliances and other equipment. You will primarily be responsible for delivering home appliances and equipment and accurately diagnosing and repairing appliances in customer’s homes.  You will also be entrusted to provide cost estimates for repairs/installations, collecting payments for work performed and completing invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required.

This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, reliable, and present in a courteous and professional manner.  To compliment your personal attributes, you possess strengths in troubleshooting and are mechanically savvy.  We are offering a full-time position with a wage of $16.00-20.00 per hour (which will commensurate with skills and experience), and access to a company vehicle.  You do not need to be an experienced individual; we invite applicants with the motivation and willingness to learn to apply!

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience with fixing/repairing other similar mechanical devices and machines is considered an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and are committed to proving quality service
  • Possess a valid class 5 Driver’s License and be at least 25 years of age (to be insured on company vehicle)
  • Exhibit professional appearance and conduct
