Futureworx Society helps people with diverse needs identify their strengths and goals, develop skills and achieve success in school, work, and life. We offer an expansive range of employment, educational, and training programs, as well as, business, corporate and customized services that innovatively respond to the needs of our community, our province and our partners across Canada and internationally.

Nova Scotia Works

Futureworx is now a Nova Scotia Works Employment Services Centre. We help job seekers and employers navigate a range of programs – from career planning, job searches and on-the-job development to recruitment, planning and HR support.

Employability Skills Assessment Tool

The Employability Skills Assessment Tool (ESAT) provides a framework and quantitative assessment methodology for the development of nine employability skills: motivation, attitude, accountability, time management, stress management, presentation, teamwork, adaptability and confidence.

Are we on an out-of-control train when responding to technological change? We need to ensure GOOD jobs exist, so people can live in ways that satisfy more than their basic needs. Fixing the skills gap may mean adjusting the demand more than the supply. #SBSchat
