If you are unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week and would like to know more about our services or would like support with job search, resume development, career counselling, exploring training options, or have an interest in self employment please complete the registration and confidentiality consent forms below.

Please download the two forms, complete them and email it to nsworks@futureworx.ca

Once we have received your information a Case Managers will contact you to discuss how we can help you on your employment path.

Nova Scotia Works

Futureworx is now a Nova Scotia Works Employment Services Centre. We help job seekers and employers navigate a range of programs – from career planning, job searches and on-the-job development to recruitment, planning and HR support.

Employability Skills Assessment Tool

The Employability Skills Assessment Tool (ESAT) provides a framework and quantitative assessment methodology for the development of nine employability skills: motivation, attitude, accountability, time management, stress management, presentation, teamwork, adaptability and confidence.

This is a program that supports youth in Nova Scotia that are interested in exploring entrepreneurship and creating their own businesses!

EXPLORE is a four-month program to support youth while they explore entrepreneurship and get hands-on with starting their own businesses. Up to $5,000 is available for anyone under 25 to help seed their venture and workshops are held throughout the program to teach the fundamental skills of running a business.

We value our relationship with the Nova Scotia Career Development Association, and are honoured to share our innovative approachThe NSCDA partnered with Futureworx, a recognized leader in developing employability skills through the use of ESAT (Employability Skills Assessment Tool) to develop and deliver the two pilot projects, one in the summer of 2018 and one in the summer of 2019. The approach with students (and employers) was designed to promote learner self-awareness about their employability skills and help them alter behaviours that are problematic in the workplace.
